Mercedes V-Class, room for six
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is our executive people carrier. It carries six passengers and six large cases in a leather-lined cabin, often with rear seats that face each other, so a family or a team travels together without giving up comfort.

A luxury saloon carries three people and two cases. Many travellers need more than that without giving up the standard of a chauffeur-driven car: a family of five on a long holiday, a board delegation with luggage, a bride’s family arriving for a wedding, a band and its instruments. The V-Class answers that need. It is the vehicle we recommend most often for families.
Here is what it is, how the seats and luggage work, and who it suits.
The vehicle
A Mercedes-Benz V-Class. It is finished to a very different standard from a commercial van: individual leather seats, a quiet cabin, good climate control and, in many versions, a table between two rows of rear seats that face each other. Sliding doors on both sides make getting in and out easy, even for older passengers.
Capacity
Six passengers, six large suitcases and six cabin bags. The seats are arranged for comfort rather than maximum numbers. With five passengers, a seat can be folded to add space for bulky luggage. For a party of more than six, we send two or more V-Class vehicles that travel together.
Families on holiday
A family of four or five with a week or two of luggage is the classic V-Class booking. Children can be seated together in the back with their seats fitted, parents sit where they can reach them, and the cases go behind. For a family of four with a case each plus a pushchair and a car seat, no saloon will do; the V-Class will, with room to spare. Give us the children’s ages when you book so the right seats are fitted before the pickup.
Executive teams
When a team of four to six colleagues arrives for a meeting or a conference, the facing seats turn the drive into a working session. The team can talk through the day ahead or review papers on the table. They arrive together, at the same time, and the luggage goes straight to the hotel. For a company booking, the fare is one fixed price and can be invoiced.
VIPs with staff
For a principal travelling with an assistant and security, or a performer with a small team, the V-Class can carry everyone in one well-appointed vehicle. Alternatively, it can follow an S-Class, carrying the staff and luggage while the principal travels alone. Tell us the arrangement you prefer, and the two chauffeurs will coordinate.
Cruise holidays
Cruise luggage is heavy: formal clothes, shoes, several days of outfits and anything bought on board. Two couples sailing together from Southampton, Dover or Tilbury with two cases each fit comfortably. The journey to Southampton from central London takes around two hours, and to Dover a little less, so the comfort of the seats matters.
Sports and music equipment
Golf bags, ski bags, instrument cases and camera equipment all fit, provided we know about them in advance. Four golfers with bags and cases fit easily. A string quartet with its instruments and luggage fits. Six skiers with full equipment is a tight squeeze; for that, we send a second V-Class for the kit.
One V-Class or two saloons?
Choose two saloons only if the group is going to two different addresses. For one destination, one vehicle is simpler: one chauffeur, one meeting point in the arrivals hall, one arrival at the other end, and no risk of half the group waiting for the other half.
Access at the destination
The V-Class is longer than a saloon but fits most hotel entrances, residential streets and office forecourts. It is too tall for many underground car parks. Give us any access notes for your pickup or drop-off, and the chauffeur will use the nearest safe stopping point if the vehicle cannot reach the door.
What the fare covers
The whole vehicle for your journey, flight tracking, waiting time in arrivals, meet and greet, luggage help, parking, and the Congestion Charge and airport drop-off charges where they apply. The price is agreed when you book.
Older passengers and limited mobility
The V-Class is easier to get into than a low saloon: the floor is at a comfortable step height, the sliding door opens wide, and there is space to turn and sit rather than duck. For grandparents on a family trip, or anyone recovering from an operation, that makes a real difference. A folding wheelchair or a walking frame fits in the luggage area with the cases. If a passenger needs to travel seated in their own wheelchair, the vehicle needs a ramp and restraints, which a standard V-Class does not have; tell us, and we will say honestly whether we can help on your date.
Arriving together for a wedding
Families flying in for a wedding often want to arrive at the hotel together, dressed for the rehearsal dinner or carrying outfits on hangers. The V-Class has room for suit carriers laid flat on a folded seat, and the cabin is smart enough for the occasion. If the wedding is outside London, in the Cotswolds, Surrey or Kent, the same vehicle can take the family straight from the airport to the venue.
