Legal
Privacy and cookies
This notice explains what personal information 1stAirportTransfers collects when you book a journey, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law.
What information do we collect?
When you book, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address and mobile number; the pickup and destination; the date and time of travel; your flight number if you give one; the number of passengers and cases; any extras such as a child seat; and any notes you add.
Who handles online bookings?
Online bookings are taken through a specialist booking provider that operates the booking and payment system on our behalf. The provider processes your booking details and any payment details under its own security measures and privacy notice, which is shown when you book. We do not see or store full payment card details.
Why do we use it?
We use your information to arrange and carry out the journey you have booked and to contact you about it, for example to confirm a pickup time or tell you about a change. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to perform our contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into one.
We do not use your information for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Who do we share it with?
We share journey details with the chauffeur who carries out your booking, so they can collect you, and with the booking provider described above. We may disclose information where the law requires it, for example to Transport for London as our licensing authority or to the police.
How long do we keep it?
Private hire operators in London are required by their licensing conditions to keep records of bookings for a set period. We keep booking records for as long as those conditions require and no longer than necessary after that.
What cookies does this site use?
The pages of this website do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The online booking system may set cookies that it needs to work, such as keeping your booking in progress; these are described in the booking provider’s own notice.
What are your rights?
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and object to or ask us to restrict how we use it. To make a request, use the contact page. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
